Parent-Teacher Meet at FFLV

We recently organised a parent-teacher meet and awareness program at the FFLV schools and invited the parents of our school girls hoping to involve them more into their daughters’ education. To everyone’s surprise, this year we saw a 400% higher number of parents attend the event compared to the previous year. Over a 1000 parents attended the meet compared to the 250 families last year. We can see that the perception of society towards girl education is changing with every passing year. The parents are starting to take the education of their girls more seriously now. We took this opportunity to create more awareness against Child Marriage through a play performed by the girls of Sandipani Muni School.

Kiran’s Vrindavan Experience

They told me that I […]

Legal Rights Awareness Training

On 2nd September, 2017, Food for Life Vrindavan organised a seminar for their school girls where they were educated about the importance of education about law and how they can approach the legal authorities if they face or know of any girl going through any kind of abuse. On this occasion, Ms. Pratibha Sharma, member of the Mediation Court and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Yadav, ACJM of District Court of Mathura were present who further educated the girls how they could approach them in case of any incident pertaining to any physical or mental abuse. A play was also performed by the school girls exhibiting the evil practice of Child Marriage. The performance was highly appreciated by the honorary court members. The seminar was very informative and well organised.
